About Your Teacher
I am a graduate from the University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education, Grand Canyon University, and California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, a Masters of Arts in Teaching, and a Masters Degree in with Curriculum, Instruction & Technology. My teaching credentials are with the State of California: California State Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education (K-12, Adult), Adapted Physical Education Credential,
and CLAD Certificate.
I have taught in the classroom with teaching at the Elementary Level with grades 3 and 4, and combination 3/4 grade classes and at the college level at California State University, Los Angeles.
I have been with Culver City Unified School District teaching exercise classes for Culver City Adult School, teaching students of Special Needs as District Adapted Physical Education Specialist, as well as teaching Physical Education and Health at Culver City Middle School.
Since 2002, I have been teaching at Culver City High School with their Physical Education program.
I have been involved with USA Judo, as a National Referee and National Kata Judge. My coaching experiences are with USA Judo, USA Swimming, and High School Girls Team Sports with Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer. I have also been a Red Cross Water Safety Swim Instructor, teaching swimming to Infants, children, and Adults.
I have been a recipient of Los Angeles County, Office of Education (Instructional Technology Outreach), Digital Voice Awards, with student created projects - 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
I incorporate technology into my Physical Education program....and...
"I engage my students in higher learning skills and prepare them for the 21st century".
I am the proud parent of two sons, who attended schools in Culver City.
